A unique opportunity to witness seagrass restoration in action and support the community-led efforts of Seawilding.
Part of Seawidling’s seagrass and native oyster restoration work, providing safe nursery habitats that sequester carbon. A great site for beginners, with lots to see in the seagrass bed close to shore.

Follow the A816 south, turning onto the B8002 towards Ardfern. The snorkel site is in Loch Craignish, directly opposite Craignish Village Hall which offers parking to snorkellers (avoid busy times by checking their website).
In Ardfern, you’ll find local services to enhance your visit e.g. Lucy’s Ardfern (cafe), Ardfern Village store, Ardfern Motorhome Park and the Galley of Lorne Inn (hotel/pub-restaurant).
The nearest electric vehicle charging station is 5 miles away in Arduaine.

Please be a responsible snorkeller; do not touch, take or tease wildlife.
This area is home to internationally important colonies of breeding seabirds (April-September) and seals (harbour seals June-July, grey seals August-December). Please behave responsibly and stay distant, wildlife should be left undisturbed. For more information see sealalliance.org and nature.scot. Avoid disturbing ground-nesting birds and livestock; follow the Outdoor Access and Marine Wildlife Watching codes.
