Part of the Lochaber snorkel trail!
A secluded, sheltered bay perfect for those searching for a serene snorkel.
Beginner snorkellers can take to the water straight off the beach, whilst the rocky headland to the south east is suitable for those with more
experience. The beach itself hosts a number of species from a variety of crab species to colourful anemones.
By road
From Corran, take the A861 south, and after passing Sunart, drive 1 mile further, turning right towards Gill Wilson Studios art gallery where you’ll find a car park.
To reach the coastline, walk back to where the turnoff meets the A861, then turn left back along the A861 towards Sunart. A few short minutes of walking will reveal a path on your right, signposted ‘studio/gallery 50m’ – this path will lead you straight to the bay.

This area is home to internationally important colonies of breeding seabirds (April-September) and seals (harbour seals June-July, grey seals August-December). Please behave responsibly and stay distant, wildlife should be left undisturbed. For more information see sealalliance.org and nature.scot. Avoid disturbing ground-nesting birds and livestock; follow the Outdoor Access and Marine Wildlife Watching codes.
Snorkelling can be dangerous and is done entirely at your own risk. Information is provided free of charge; it is your responsibility to check the conditions present on the day and assess whether it is safe to snorkel.
