Manx shearwater Puffinus puffinus

The manx shearwater is a small shearwater. It’s black on top and white underneath. Manx shearwaters are excellent fliers, they fly with a series of stiff, powerful flaps, followed by long glides as they skim the surface of the water. They also pull off some impressive banking and ‘shearing’ maneuvers, which gives them their name.
